Review
A real eye opener. Well researched. Well written. Engaging. A great read for those wanting to get insights in the Jewish world and worldview. --Dr. Jeffrey Seif, Kings University Distinguished Professor of Bible and Jewish Studies
One of the most interesting and learned tomes I have ever read. Contained within its pages is much with which I agree, some with which I disagree, and much about which I never thought. Rabbi Shapria s remarkable book cannot be ignored. --Dr. Paige Patterson, President, Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary
Traditional rabbis and counter-missionaries have said that they cannot consider our claim that Yeshua the Messiah is divine. Now, this Messianic Jewish rabbi has challenged that objection, relying entirely on the Hebrew Scriptures and traditional Jewish literature, and he has done so with much careful study and great spiritual passion. Is it possible that a Jew can embrace Yeshua as the divine Messiah and follow traditional Jewish sources as well? Read this book and find out for yourself! --Michael L. Brown, Ph.D. | Author, Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus, Volumes 1 5

About the Author
Tzahi (Itzhak) Shapira was born and raised in a traditional Sephardic Jewish home in Israel. After years of studying Rabbinic Jewish texts, he found the Messiah within the Hebrew writings. Holding full Rabbinic ordination from the IAMCS, he serves as the founding rabbi of Ahavat Ammi Ministries, an international Jewish organization that is focused on reconciliation between Jews and Yeshua.

And the Debate Goes on?
By Pappy
I title my review with a bit of sarcasm, for really no debate ensues, just claim and counter-claim, insinuations and denunciations. I have met Rabbi Shapira, and I am reading his book. As a serious student of the Word, it will take a lot of research to go over the material covered, to check the background material, to examine the Torah and the full Tanakh, the Talmud, the Mishna, the Zohar, the Targums... It will take diligence to examine the claims and counter-claims; to search the Hebrew, and the Greek in reference to the Messianic Writings (and cross reference them with Delitzch's excellent Hebrew New Testament). So I won't take the time to quote a tract here or there; for my Jewish brethren, please don't close an eye to studying, even if you disagree. No one asks you to agree, just dialogue with us. I agree with Rabbi Shapira, that we can only find the truth about moshiach through Judaism, and not around it as Christianity has tried to do. Walk with me, walk with us, tell us about G-d, don't shut us out by your hatred of a failed implementation of religion. Yes many evils have been done in the name of Jesus Christ, but if he truly is the moshiach Yeshua, then it is the fault of men and not him that these injustices have been done. That is point I believe of this book - to bring back the study of moshiach through the Jewish perspective, and away from the Westernized culture that has done so much damage between the Jew and Gentile. We need the debate - not hate, or scorn, or ridicule, for what purpose does that solve in the end? This book at least approaches the subject from the culture in which the subject matter originated; can we not have a conversation?

Worthy of Serious Attention
By Suzanne
I have read many scholarly books pertaining to Messianic theology; I have also read many opposing arguments from counter-missionaries, and watched quite a few debates between the two sides. So when I heard of this book, I asked myself what Rabbi Shapira could possibly add to the substantive work that already exists regarding Messianic Judaism's position. However, I felt lead by the Ruach to order this book. Needless to say, I am *very* happy I ordered it!
I believe what differentiates this book from many of the others is that Rabbi Shapira has gone to great lengths to respectfully address the weightiest objections of counter-missionaries: that we "twist" their words, that we ignore the "framework" of Judaic thought, and that we handle the words of the sages irresponsibly. Each of these issues is addressed with the utmost respect by Rabbi Shapira. I believe on these points, this well-researched, sensitive work deserves serious attention from the Jewish seeker and the counter-missionary.

For the Black Christian who is seeking to understand
By J. S. Morton
As a purposed creation of Hashem, Adonai Tsavuot who destined me to be born black and for such a time as this I began trying to understand the Jewish reality of the Holy Scriptures in 2007. I was never one who relied on my culture to show me how to appreciate my faith but rather the scriptures themselves. When I began to correlate what I had been taught via my Christian faith to the scriptures certain biblical realities were obscured or darn right obliterated in order to favor Church theology as opposed to factual, historical truth. I begun to see that this was true in Judaism as well. The inexplicable fact that the world and all of the people therein was not Rabbinic, Orthodox, Islamic or Christian when Adam first became a living being caused me to erase racial and religious temperaments placed on men, by men...I began to study. I soon realized that within Judaism and the various sects stretching through the historical pages of Talmudic writers, sages, and scribes one could also discover obscured or darn right revised information depending on "Timeline" for much the same reason....Rabbi Izhak Shappira removes the veil that distorts the plan of our Creator who literally, figuratively and absolutely presented to this world Ben Joseph and Ben David in the person of Yeshua, Messiah....This book will cause a shock wave to reverberate in your spirit until the "Great and Terrible" day of the LORD! For the Jewish person who has left his faith this book will cause you to shudder as probability overcomes distortion, truth overcomes deception even among those of blessed memory!
